Welcome back to me! I've been out of GT for 2 weeks as I have been adjusting to mommyhood, sleepless nights, that is! It's kinda hard but when I get to see my baby sleeping safe and sound, believe me, it's all worth it. :)
GT topic for the month of March excites me 'cause I'm a music lover. It's ok for me if I don't get to watch TV, cable, or movie for a whole week as long as I got my music with me. I can still remember when I bought my first casette tape of Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill, memorizing each line and singing my heart out. Then came the Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Evanescence, Linkin Park and the list goes on. LOL!
I don't have a specific genre though. It can be HipHop, RnB, Reggae, Alternative, Goth, Punk, Rock, as long as it sounds nice and makes me feel good.
However, there are also music that I can't stand hearing. Those novelty songs, April Boy, Aegis, it really annoys me. Hard core rock too, or whatever you call it, where 99% of the song is composed of shouting and profanity.
Now, for the song that makes me fall in love, it will be You First Believed by Hoku. That song brings so much hope. And also Make Me Whole by Amel Larrieux. It goes like this
"Cause your eyes are the windows to heaven
Your smile could heal a million souls
Your love completes my existence
You're the other half that makes me whole
You're the only other half that makes me whole"
Sweet huh! I was wishing then that someone would sing this song for me. Hehehe!
And for my choice of song that makes me cry, I think that would be Broken by Seether. I remember when I was in my lowest point of my life, listening to this song would really bring tears to my eyes. Especially when the lyrics hits
"Because I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away
You've gone away, you don't feel me here anymore"
LOL! And here's another one, though it didn't made me cry, but this is really sad, it's kinda where I'm at that time, Scars of a Failing Heart by Typecast.
Happy music madness GT!!! ♥♥♥
